JOB DETAILS:

  • This person will be the doctor's right hand in the room with all patient appointments!
  • Document medical history, doctor recommendations and treatment plans
  • Must be willing to cross-train handling both medical assisting and front office tasks as needed
  • Flexibility in handling whatever is by the doctor to deliver quality patient care

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have very fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Comfortable using a Mac laptop to scribe
  • Recent medical assistant experience must include taking vitals, recording medical history, EKG knowledge highly desired but will train
  • Optional but desired – recent blood draw and injections work experience
  • Must be computer proficient, professional appearance, articulate and able to work in a very busy office
  • Candidates must have a warm and caring personality, able to take instructions and handle tasks accordingly with little ongoing direction

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

  • Full time position M-F 9a-6p
  • $18+ (dep on experience) includes partial medical, pension plan after 1 yr, Paid parking, vacation, sick and holidays.

(Job #1580) Full Time MEDICAL ASSISTANT for concierge-type Plastic Surgery practice in Thousand Oaks (Conejo Valley)

Job Duties

• Assist doctor in pre and post-op medical evaluations and procedures

• Some injections, stitch removal, assisting in minor in-office procedures including biopsies, laser skincare and injectible cosmetic products (Botox…)

• Autoclaving and preparation of sterile field for procedures and surgeries

• Supply management and ordering • Discuss skincare products and services with patients as appropriate

• Assist with Front Office when needed - this office supports each other so cross-training is done with all staff

• Assist with updating of Social Media


Requirements

• 2+ years’ recent private medical practice experience as a medical assistant (please, no new grads)

• Professional diction and writing skills and the ability to discuss medical procedures and products with clients

• Must have a Natural appearance with no obvious prior plastic surgery or injectibles use

• Dermatology or plastics experience helpful but not required but needs to have an interest in learning aesthetic skin and body care

• High energy, outgoing and professional personality

• Computer proficient with prior experience using an EMR system


Schedule and Compensation

• M-F 8:30a -5:30p $17-20/hr + depending on experience.

• Benefits package includes 100% medical paid after 90 days probation, vacation begins to accrue after 6 months, paid Sick time, Paid holidays after 90 days' probation, profit sharing retirement plan that vests over time beginning after year 1, Botox after 90 days and surgery after 1.5 years of continuous employment if medically qualified, and extras such as periodic paid hair and nail appointments
