Assist practitioners with exams and procedures including Epidurals, Lumbar punctures, RF and PulseRF treatments, A2M injections, PRP injections, Botox injections and Sympatric Blocks

Educate patients about the procedure and what to expect

Set patient up for the IV, prepare, insert and monitor patient during the IV treatment

Evaluate patient following IV treatment for discharge and provide follow up directions and resources for assistance if needed

Answer patients’ questions and assist with prescriptions

Monitor supplies and coordinate with manager for replenishing supplies when needed

Assist practitioner with exams and procedures when needed

Assist as needed with other patient care clinical and administrative duties as needed throughout the practice
REQUIREMENTS

Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited school

Strong skills performing blood draw, preparing and giving injections

Experienced processing blood and other lab specimens

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Formally trained Medical Assistant with an MA certification from an accredited school

2+ years consistent experience working in a medical private practice as a Medical Assistant

Experience and confidence in blood draw and injections
-
Computer proficient with experience working with an EMR system - Nextech a plus!
-
Polished communication skills written and spoken for phones, emails and charting
-
Ability to scribe during an exam so must have proficient typing skills - fast and accurate!

Understanding of medical terminology

Ability to be punctual to work every day and ready to start by assigned work time - the patients are ready!

Skilled in setting up a sterile procedure and surgical tray including instruments

Knowledgeable in the proper cleaning and maintenance of a treatment room and appropriate supplies that should be maintained

Experience in calling in prescriptions and assisting patients with resources as directed by the physician
