JOB DETAILS

Duties include greeting and assisting patients in person, monitoring the office waiting area

Answer calls, triage caller needs and handling as needed

Make and confirm appointments, E-scribing medication in Practice Fusion and CoverMy meds for prior authorization

Setting up Attorneys conferences, depositions and trials, coordinating all communications and details
-
Handling prior authorizations and ensuring patient medical forms and medical records are maintained
-
Collect and post payments
-
Work in tandem with other staff to maintain effective communication with the doctors, coworkers, patients and vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum of 1-2 years medical office experience including the handling of Medical Front Office duties

Computer proficient with a 45+ typing speed and experience using an EMR system for scheduling and payment documentation with Word, Excel – delete the highlighted

Must possess a professional level of communication skills both verbal and written

Professional mindset including punctuality, teamwork, taking initiative to handle tasks, ability to be organize and prioritize tasks with an upbeat personality

Ensure a schedule that maximizes practitioner time without patients feeling rushed

Make and confirm appointments, handle phones and greet patients

Engage callers and in-office patients with information on the latest anti-aging products and services

Collect copays, do insurance verification and pre authorizations

Ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked and patient areas are well maintained

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years’ experience working Front Office in a private medical/surgical practice

Experience working in some area of aesthetics, surgery or dermatology required

Interest in learning about the latest anti-aging products and services (and telling callers and patients about them!)

Ability to arrive on time for work on the scheduled work days

Polished and professional communication skills written and spoken

Personal initiative to identify what needs to be done, prioritize, make to-do list, adjust as needed to accomplish goals

High level of organization to balance tasks for multiple patients ensuring consents, insurance, pre-op exams and other details are handled well in advance of surgery day

This position handles all details for and with patients in scheduling and preparing for procedures and surgeries.
JOB DETAILS

Coordinate dates and times for medical procedures and surgeries with patients.

Work with patients to get pre-op details in order including bloodwork and pre-op exams with results in-house prior to procedure.

Get consents and other paperwork handled with patients
-
Counsel patients on details to prepare for prior to procedure, what to expect during the process and what to have in place for post-procedure.

Double-check to ensure ALL pre-procedure details are in order and the patient is ready prior to procedure day

REQUIREMENTS
-
High level of proficiency in the Epic EMR system (absolutely required!)
-
Prior experience scheduling surgeries using Epic EMR
-
Strong understanding of medical insurance including verifications and prior authorizations
-
Proactive mentality to get patients to handle the details, paperwork and preparation in a timely manner so as not to delay the procedure
-
High attention to detail ensuring everything is in place prior to surgery and patient is prepared
-
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced/high pressure environment
-
Calm demeanor to walk patients through the process answering questions and providing important information.

Dedication to prompt follow-up of requests and efficiency in handling details

Experienced in evaluation priorities and adjusting tasks as needed with minimum supervision
