Medical Secretary
(Job #2501) MEDICAL SECRETARY for Concierge Cardiology practice in Beverly Hills. This position is for someone who is very accommodating and can work directly with the doctor to handle all scheduling and patient needs
JOB DETAILS

Scheduling and coordinating multiple cardiac procedures i.e.: Nuclear stress tests, vascular studies, echocardiograms, cardiac CT scans, treadmills, holter monitors, cath lab

Taking and handling messages for the doctor
-
Maintaining doctor schedule for surgery and other meetings
-
Add a patient to the EMR system
-
Handle pharmacy call and refills
-
Triage patient needs, coordinating follow-up with doctor
-
Coordinate patient pre-surgical consents, records requests and other miscellaneous documents
REQUIREMENTS
-
Strong understanding of medical insurance billing
-
Must be detail-oriented to stay on top of messages and advise doctor of urgent matters and updates on patients

Professional communication verbal and written Initiative to reach out to patients, and ensure patients receive a high level of care
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

M-F 8a-5pm $28+ based on experience

JOB DETAILS

Handle a variety of responsibilities, identifying priorities and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner

Initial and ongoing contact with patients, attorneys, and medical providers
-
Scheduling PI medical appointments
-
Request PI medical records
-
Manage PI client’s medical care
-
Open and close PI files
-
Verify eligibility and insurance benefits for Medicare patients
-
Maintain accurate policy details in the Practice Management Software prior to patient appointments
-
Communicate with Medicare patients effectively to resolve any eligibility issues
-
Confirm copayments with patients prior to scheduled appointments
-
Point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding eligibility
-
Gather, analyze, and research information/documents
-
REQUIREMENTS
-
Must have 2+ years of prior experience in an Administrative role with a Medical or Pain Management Practice Basic knowledge of medical terminology
-
Ability to manage a high call volume and emails prioritizing and responding to patient requests in a timely manner Excellent organizational, written and communication skills with a high attention to details
-
Comfort with requesting and collecting large payments
-
Professional polish in working with referring medical offices and attorneys
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm

Pay: Starting at $28.00 per hour
