MEDICAL ASSISTANT

(Job #2531) FRIDAYS ONLY -  MEDICAL ASSISTANT with PEDIATRICS or URGENT CARE experience for BEVERLY HILLS-area medical practice.  If you are a medical assistant who has worked with infants and seek  to work just one day per week and can do Fridays - this medical assisting role may be a perfect fit for you!

JOB DETAILS: 

  • Room patients and parents, acquire updated patient information, and assess patient needs 

  • Prepare and give injections, take vitals and administer medications to newborns through teens 

  • Provide support to parents, help to calm upset children and ease difficult situations in the treatment room

  • Assist parents with resources for their children as directed by the doctor

  • Support the needs of multiple doctors throughout the practice as required

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant 

  • MUST have Pediatrics experience as a Medical Assistant working with newborn through age 18 

  • Math skills to accurately convert to/from metric measurements and inches to feet

  • Experienced in preparing and giving pediatric injections, taking vitals and handling infants and kids properly

  • Knowledgeable in the special needs of young patients 

  • Must be able to remain calm when dealing with upset children and nervous parents

 

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION: 

  • FRIDAYS only  9a-5pm 

  • $25+ per hour depending on experience 

  • Benefits includes accrued Sick, 401(k) eligible after 1,000 hours worked and Paid Parking

NURSE PRACTITIONER

1-4 dedicated days per week  -  Thursday - Sunday

(Job # 2482 ) PART TIME  NURSE PRACTIONER or PA FOR PASADENA Orthopedic Surgery practice.  This is a fully INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR role so applicants must be prepared with their own corporation already established and liability insurance in place.

  

JOB DETAILS

  • FULLY CLINICAL and on-site role - no travel

  • Take doctor’s charts and instructions and perform initial evaluations

  • Update charts with results, observations and recommendations

  • Assist with pre- and post-op exams

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed in California as a NP or PA with a spotless record

  • Have an established corporation ID to work as an Independent Contractor

  • Have professional liability insurance established

  • 2+ years’ experience as a NP or PA - or 5+ recent years as an RN working in a hands-on role.

  • Hands-on experience is required.

  • Orthopedic experience desired but not specifically required if you have other related  experience and knowledge of orthopedic medicine

  • Ability to be punctual and work a consistent schedule

 

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION 

  • Available work days are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays.  

  • Open to same person for all days or different people covering specific day(s) on a consistent schedule 

  • Daily pay rate to be discussed directly with employer with amount to be determined depending on experience and knowledge of orthopedics

FRONT and BACK OFFICE

Wed & Thurs

(Job # 2475 ) PART TIME with BENEFITS!!  BILINGUAL FRONT AND BACK OFFICE for West LA medical practice.  1-2 days per week Wednesdays and optional Thursdays.

  

JOB DETAILS 

  • Support other Back Office staff with Rooming Patients and Interpretation for Spanish speaking patients, 

  • Assist handling medication refills

  • Assist Front Office as needed with calls, appointments, patient check in as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bilingual Spanish required without option

  • Medical Assistant from an accredited Medical Assisting program

  • 2-3 years of private medical practice experience.

  • MUST BE VACCINATED

  • Computer experience with using an EMR system

  • Ability to be PUNCTUAL and reliable for the established work schedule.

 

SCHEDULE and BENEFITS

  • 8:30-5:30 full day Wednesdays and optional Thursdays

  • Benefits include PTO, sick, and paid parking

  • Salary $22+ DOE
