JOB DETAILS

  • Assist doctors and nurse practitioners with services including family wellness exams, physical therapies and minor procedures

  • Room patients taking vitals, medical history and reason for visit

  • Draw blood, prepare and give injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and other minor medical procedures

  • Coordinate prescriptions, diagnostic and laboratory testing

  • Follow up with patients on test results and provide patients information on resources as directed by practitioner

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bilingual Spanish required! 

  • Minimum one year commitment

  • MUST LIVE ON CATALINA ISLAND during the week (rent subsidy provided AND $250 for transportation off-island on the weekends provided)

  • Requires formal medical assistant training with the ability to provide Certificate

  • Proficiency with blood draw, injections and EKGs

  • Experience to include Internal medicine, or sports medicine

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a medical assistant in a private healthcare or hospital work environment with a solid work history

  • Computer proficient with experience using an EMR. Athena EMR experience is highly desired but some EMR experience is required!

 

SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • M-F 8a-5pm (plenty of time to enjoy sunset dinners at the beach!!!)

NURSE PRACTITIONER

1-4 dedicated days per week  -  Thursday - Sunday

(Job # 2482 ) PART TIME  NURSE PRACTIONER or PA FOR PASADENA Orthopedic Surgery practice.  This is a fully INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR role so applicants must be prepared with their own corporation already established and liability insurance in place.

  

JOB DETAILS

  • FULLY CLINICAL and on-site role - no travel

  • Take doctor’s charts and instructions and perform initial evaluations

  • Update charts with results, observations and recommendations

  • Assist with pre- and post-op exams

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed in California as a NP or PA with a spotless record

  • Have an established corporation ID to work as an Independent Contractor

  • Have professional liability insurance established

  • 2+ years’ experience as a NP or PA - or 5+ recent years as an RN working in a hands-on role.

  • Hands-on experience is required.

  • Orthopedic experience desired but not specifically required if you have other related  experience and knowledge of orthopedic medicine

  • Ability to be punctual and work a consistent schedule

 

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION 

  • Available work days are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays.  

  • Open to same person for all days or different people covering specific day(s) on a consistent schedule 

  • Daily pay rate to be discussed directly with employer with amount to be determined depending on experience and knowledge of orthopedics

(Job # 2472)  NURSE PRACTITIONER for Huntington Park / south LA Family and Urgent Care medical practice.  Start 1-2 days per week to get acclimated then moving to Full Time M-F.  Open to W-2 or Independent Contractor.  .  

 

JOB DETAILS

  • See patients for Family Practice, Well-woman, urgent care and other general medicine healthcare needs

  • Perform examination, diagnostic testing and other steps as appropriate to identify patient situation

  • Evaluate diagnostics and other data, develop a plan of care and refine with patients

  • Refer patients to outside specialists as needed

  • Provide guidance, references and other direction as appropriate

  • Prescribe medication, counseling patients on use and what to expect during course of treatment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Nurse Practitioner certification to practice in California with script-writing 

  • Some experience with gynecological exams preferred

  • Ability to start 1-2 days per week then expand schedule

  • 1-2 years’ experience as a NP with strong experience in hands-on clinical care

JOB DETAILS

  • Perform history and physical examinations of oncology patients, provide accurate assessment and evaluation of oncology patients, and implement appropriate treatment plans under established protocols and physician supervision

  • Work with patients to Identify the optimum treatments that will be both tolerable and effective

  • Apply chemotherapy and new treatments including target and immunotherapy to patients,

  • Work with patients to utilize all resources available including infusions and specialty medications  

  • Coordinate with other specialists both locally and at renowned academic centers. 

  • Provide assistance as office management in the doctor’s absence

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Detailed background in oncology clinical medicine

  • Ability to independently prioritize work with minimal direct supervision

  • Professional communication skills including English speaking and writing to ensure clear communication

  • Experienced using an EMR/EHR system (electronic health record), word processing and spreadsheet programs to manage and retrieve patient information

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in the outpatient environment while performing a variety of tasks 

  • Experienced in proactively organizing, coordinating, and following complex clinical regimens

  • Skill in communicating and translating medical information to patients and their families in a clear way they will understand, including giving patients and families an understanding of their medical condition and what they might expect in the future. 

  • Knowledge and proficiency of the English language sufficient to read medical reports and records with comprehension and to prepare reports and correspondence 

  • Professional ability to interact effectively and communicate accurately with patients, colleagues and referring physicians

  • Skill in working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues

  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and frequent interruption Skill in prioritizing assignment to complete work in a timely and accurate manner

  • Proactively learn and follow practice and Hospital policies and procedures related to functions and responsibilities of the position

 

LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduated from an accredited MSN or PA program with a focus in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (acute care, Family or Primary program required) 

  • National NP or PA certification required

  • Current CA RN ,NP/PA License, BLS, DEA License

 

SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Full Time Schedule Monday-Friday with rotating weekends

  • Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on experience

  • Benefits include Health insurance, Dental insurance,  Vision insurance paid time off, paid parking, Bonuses
