JOB DETAILS

  • Perform history and physical examinations of oncology patients,

  • Ensure all consents and other documentation are in place

  • Apply IV chemotherapy and new treatments including target and immunotherapy to patients, under established protocols and physician direction and supervision

  • Monitor patients during treatment to ensure patient well-being

  • Support Clinical Trials as needed

  • Provide assistance as possible for patients and other staff  in the doctor’s absence

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current and unrestricted RN license

  • Strong IV infusion skills - gentle touch and thorough knowledge of process

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in the outpatient environment while performing a variety of tasks 

  • Professional communication skills including English speaking and writing to ensure clear communication

  • Experienced using an EMR/EHR system (electronic health record), word processing and spreadsheet programs to manage and retrieve patient information and consents

  • Experienced in proactively organizing, coordinating, and following complex clinical regimens

  • Skill in communicating and translating medical information to patients and their families in a clear way they will understand, including giving patients and families an understanding of their medical condition and what they might expect from treatment

  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and frequent interruption 

  • Skill in prioritizing assignment to complete work in a timely and accurate manner

  • Willingness to proactively learn and follow the practice policies and procedures of this practice related to functions and responsibilities of this position

 

LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduated from an accredited RN program 

  • Unrestricted current RN certification required

JOB DETAILS

  • This role is the patient’s primary source leading them through the plastic surgery process from start to finish!

  • Educate callers about the doctor, the practice’s offerings, the plastic surgery process and other details to secure consultations

  • Provide potential patients with education and options about procedures during a consultation

  • Work with patients to understand what to expect and what arrangements to make for before and after surgery

  • Coordination of all documents/consents/insurance, assist with any financial matters or connect to resources 

  • Take photos at all stages of the process ensuring they are included in the patient’s chart

  • Assist with occasional suture removal or light wound care/bandaging.  

  • Not shy about photographing a nude body for pre and post-op purposes

  • The staff rotates a PAID week-long on-call triage schedule  

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • This role is open to someone coachable / a newer LVN but requires prior Back Office experience that may include work as a medical assistant.

  • Experience working in a surgical environment is highly desired but private medical practice or hospital experience is required!

  • Not shy around nudity with an ability to relax nervous patients during exams and personal discussions

  • Upbeat and outgoing personality - ability to talk with anyone about plastic surgery on any body part

  • Should have some level of “Sales experience to “sell” the practice by developing a rapport with people calling in for information.

  • An ability to pick up the phone and call anyone to secure information, referrals or handle surgery preparations.

  • Ability to remain calm and reassure nervous patients during the process

  • Polished appearance, clear communication style spoken and written

  • Computer proficiency to coordinate documents, update charts and coordinate surgical arrangements

  • Strong attention to details and an ability to ensure all details are in order prior to surgery day

  • This role does not require blood draw or IV experience but should be comfortable assisting with post-op wound and drain care if needed,

JOB DETAILS

Ensure all details are in order for surgical days including staff, equipment, supplies and all other surgical suite details. 

On surgical days oversee pre-op and post-op procedures supporting staff if needed including setting up IVs if necessary, 

Handle surgical suite paperwork, credentialing and other regulatory documentation required

Contribute to the selection of supporting staff, perform evaluations and manage staff scheduling for surgery days

 

REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience managing a surgical suite including staff, equipment, supplies and all surgical suite details.  Experienced in pre and post op, (circulating - as a fill-in when needed!) Requires a "startup" mindset.

Needs to be a WORKING surgical RN able to handle pre-op, circulating and post-op procedures supporting staff if needed including setting up IVs.

Be confident in surgical knowledge to learn how this office is arranged but not "how to do: pre/post-op tasks. 

On non-surgery days this role handles paperwork, credentialing, orders supplies and other preparations for the next surgery day (does not ordinarily see post-op patients but may if needed.)

 

SCHEDULE AND BENEFITS

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • This role is fully medical Dermatology (not aesthetics)

  • Evaluate patient issues discussing possible causes

  • Order or perform diagnostic testing which may include taking biopsies, allergy testing and other procedures

  • Initiate treatment 

 

SCHEDULE

  • Experience in some aspect of Dermatology, Allergy, Oncology 

  • This role is not performing aesthetics but providing Dermatology care including allergic reactions, rashes, skin testing, biopsies and more

  • Ability to be dependable to the schedule set and punctual 

  • Communication skills to talk with patients about their symptoms, potential causes and diagnosis, treatment options and care plans

 

COMPENSATION:

  • As this is a new role, compensation will be discussed based on applicant needs, the schedule and experience level.  

  • Pay as a W2 or optionally as a 1099 if the applicant has a company already established with a California Tax ID in place
