This role is Medical Dermatology with an opportunity to transition to Cosmetic (laser & botox services) as well after growing clientele

Evaluate patient issues discussing possible causes

Order or perform diagnostic testing which may include taking biopsies, allergy testing and other procedures\

Review test results and discuss results, treatments and options with patients to finalize treatment plan

REQUIREMENTS

Current and clean NP or PA license

Experience in Dermatology a must

Provide Dermatology care including allergic reactions, rashes, skin testing, biopsies and more

Ability to be dependable to the schedule set and punctual

Communication skills to talk with patients about their symptoms, potential causes and diagnosis, treatment options and care plans
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, AND BENEFITS

Monday & Wednesday, 8:45am-5:15pm with a 30 minute lunch

$75/hr+

Pay as a W2 or optionally as a 1099 if the applicant has a company already established with a California Tax ID in place

Supports a multi-specialty outpatient care team in a Rural Health Clinic within a Critical Access Hospital.

Assists providers in family medicine, primary care, and employer services.

Rooms patients, gets vitals, documents medical history.

Performs injections, EKGs, vision/hearing, and specimen collection.

Assists with procedures and point-of-care testing.

Coordinates medications, referrals,test results and follow-up instructions to patients

Provides occupational health support (e.g., TB tests, drug screens)

Works alongside providers to support quality, patient-centered care.
REQUIREMENTS

Bilingual SPANISH Required!

RELOCATION TO CATALINA ISLAND REQUIRED (transitional housing and rental assistance available; no pets allowed)Minimum two-year commitment

Proof of Medical Assistant or LVN training program Certification required

BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

2+ years' experience in clinic or hospital setting, ideally with family or internal medicine.

Proficiency in injections, EKGs and specimen handling

Must be computer proficient with accurate and at least moderate speed typing skills

EMR experience required; Athena experience highly preferred

Occupational health testing experience (or willingness to train) preferred

Compensation based on experience - $25+ for MA and more for LVN-level
