  • 2+ years' experience working in the front office of a private medical practice
  • Experience with Internal Medicine and a cash-only practice required. Concierge practice experience highly desired.
  • Strong computer skills including fast and accurate typing for data entry and experience working with an EMR or EHR system
  • Warm and friendly personality
  • Professional appearance and demeanor as to properly reflect a high-profile, concierge-level medical practice
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy times
  • History of job stability and a desire for a long-term, full-time position
  • Ability to work with patients who at times, can be somewhat difficult

JOB DETAILS:

  • Attention to details and accuracy are high priorities for this position.
  • Professionally work with other team members to ensure a well-run Front Desk, smooth check-in and check-out, make and confirm appointments and ensure phones are handled in a timely and professional manner
  • Financial duties include requesting and accepting payments in cash and credit card, batching collections and payment posting
  • Assist Office Manager and doctors as needed - must be open to flexibility and cross-training in job duties
  • Coordinate patient and doctor needs - often simultaneously - so the ability to prioritize and handle urgent needs is very important
  • Always deliver a high level of customer service and a warm experience to patients
  • Prioritize normal duties with other tasks assigned to ensure timely and accurate completion of all work
  • Microsoft proficient and must have the ability to learn Microsoft-based EMR system

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

  • M-F 8:30a-5:30p
  • $19 -21/hr + depending on experience.
  • Benefits package includes Medical Kaiser paid 100%, Pension after 2 years, with 3% match, Vacation, Sick, Holidays and Paid Parking

  • Must have experience working with Work Comp for the purposes of AME, IME or QME
  • 3-5 years working in a medical office
  • Strong knowledge of Workman’s Compensation reporting and Orthopedics terminology
  • Experienced in AME, IME and QME
  • Fine attention to detail and ability to strictly follow procedures - this position requires someone who is very particular about details!!!!
  • Professional writing skills to draft letters and assist with fine-tuning evaluation reports
  • Fast typing speed – applicants will need to pass a typing test.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, professionally handle phone calls, maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times.

Duties Include:

  • Assisting the Office Manager with Administrative duties including phones, emails and correspondence.
  • Interview patients and document patient's medical history, ensuring all pertinent details are present in the patient’s records, properly summarized and in chronological order prior to doctor's visit
  • Amending reports to include doctor visit details
  • Evaluate for any possible inconsistencies in the records
  • Follow-up on any missing or incomplete records to ensure a file is current and accurate
  • Coordinate with other medical offices and attorneys to meet their needs and deadlines
  • Ensure the report follows the exact format of the practice

Salary and Benefits:

  • This is a staff W-2 position
  • M-F 7:30a – 4pm
  • Payroll on the 1st and 15th of each month (unless that falls on a weekend)
  • Compensation based on experience $18-20/hr DOE
  • Benefits include $300 toward HMO/PPO which includes health, vision and dental. 401(k) after 1 year, fully vested after 5 years

Requirements

• Ideal candidates have strong knowledge and  passion for skincare!!!

• 2+ years’ recent work experience in a spa, derm, plastics or similar aesthetics company

• Professional diction and writing skills and the ability to discuss aesthetic procedures and products with clients

• Must have a Natural appearance with no obvious prior plastic surgery or injectible use

• Dermatology or plastics experience helpful but not required but needs to have a PASSION FOR SKINCARE!

• High energy, outgoing and professional personality

Schedule and Compensation

• M-F 9a-6p (1-hour lunch) $16-20/hr + depending on experience.

• Benefits package includes 50% of company medical paid after 6 months, 1 week vacation available for use after 1 year, 3 days paid Sick time/yr, Paid holidays after 90 days' probation, open parking and scrubs provided after probationary period.
