JOB DETAILS

• Provide essential services and exams of generating X-Ray Images of the body for diagnostic purposes as designated by your license

• Prepare patients for specified radiological procedures, using appropriate positioning, and shielding as indicated and within scope of practice

• Transport patients into the exam room, explain the process and answer patient questions

• Assist patient onto the exam tables

• Position and shield patients appropriately for radiographic imaging

• Perform confirmation that markers are set appropriately for each patient

• Perform appropriate equipment management and logs for quality control measures

• Maintain suite readiness for audits

• Handle provider correspondence regarding reports, stored films and outside records

• Assists with clinic room turnover during down time including rooming a patient, taking a medical history, documenting key concerns and vitals

• Perform appropriate infection controls processes.

• Maintains a safe workplace free of clutter

• OPTIONAL: If also a medical assistant, may assist with other tasks within scope of experience 

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Current CRT License Required (California Radiologic Tech) LIMITED or FULL license

• At least one year of work performing all the duties of an Xray Tech (Limited OR Full)

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to ensure the safety of the patients

• Willingness and ability to assist in other areas of the practice during down time including phones, rooming, vitals and other light duties

• Maintain current training and licensure on X-ray techniques with improvement of personal qualification through education programs, conferences, workshops and additional reading materials.

• Obtains appropriate CME to maintain CRT licenses and ARRT certification.

 

SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• M-F 8:30a - 5pm

• Hourly is $35+ (this amount is based on a Limited CRT license and low experience level)  Candidates with Full license and/or several years of experience can expect significantly higher)
